evening2 image Our popular afternoon tours give the visitor access to the house which is arguably one of the most famous homes in Los Angeles, if not the world. Visitors interest in the house are varied including those who appreciate architecture, the Mid Century Modern genre, the famous location in Hollywood, the set of scores of films and advertising layouts, and of course…the views. A tour of the Stahl House is an intimate, small group event which is both casual, friendly and informative. Guests always comment on how peaceful and beautiful a visit to the home is, in contrast to the fact that it sits directly above one of the most energetic cities in the world. Face coverings and a COVID-19 waiver are required for entry.  The waiver form is available upon arrival.  We have reduced the number of guests permitted per tour and social distancing is required.  Tour includes access to the interior yard and pool area, as well as the kitchen, dining room, living room, and Master Bedroom. The second bedroom of the home is closed, but is easily visible through the windows. The tour lasts 60 minutes in the home. For the safety and comfort of all guests, children under 10 years of age are NOT permitted on tours.  This includes infants and toddlers, even if they are in strollers or harnesses. Photography is allowed with a signed release. Only cell phone cameras are permitted. All other cameras or motion cameras (i.e., video, digital, etc.) are NOT permitted. Photography shoots/sessions, of any kind, are NOT permitted. TOURS Docents are on site, during each tour, to answer questions. tours are kept to a small number of guests/vehicles to minimize the impact to our neighbors and increase the enjoyment of our guests. Reservations are required for all visitors. Without a reservation, no one is granted access and the house is not viewable from the street. Please honor this restriction as we protect our neighborhood.   Please read through this page completely. If you wish to make a GROUP tour please click HERE. PARKING AT THE HOUSE IS VERY RESTRICTED All guests in your reservation must arrive in the same vehicle unless other arrangements have been made with us. We allow ONE vehicle for every FIVE guests up to a maximum of FIVE vehicles. We will turn away vehicles, so please ask questions before your arrival. All vehicles will be parking at or near the home. Do not park on the public Woods Drive, as you will be asked to move your vehicle. All guests must arrive by vehicle. We do not allow for “walk ups”. If you walk up to the house you will be turned away, even if you have a reservation. Please understand that our neighbors do not appreciate the increased foot traffic in the neighborhood. When you arrive at the private Woods Drive (driving directions are below) pull up to the white gate just past the 2 large white concrete posts. Enter the code “002” on the keypad and we will answer and open the gate remotely. If the gate is already open, please drive up to the house. It will be the second house on the left.Please refer to our Map and Driving Directions page HERE. PARK IN THE CARPORT OF THE HOME Do NOT park on the street, or adjecent streets. Do NOT walk up the street.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY – TOUR TICKETS MAY BE CANCELLED UP TO 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE TOUR, BUT ARE SUBJECT TO A $5.00 SERVICE FEE.  TOUR TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE WITHIN 48 HOURS OF THE TOUR DATE.

  • ALL TOURS ARE BY RESERVATION ONLY AND ARE SUBJECT TO POSSIBLE CANCELLATION
  • PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOTS / SESSIONS, OF ANY KIND, ARE NOT PERMITTED
  • ALL TOURS PROCEED AS SCHEDULED, “RAIN OR SHINE“. IF WE FEEL THAT WEATHER WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS, WE WILL CANCEL THE TOUR AND ISSUE REFUNDS, OR IF YOU PREFER, MOVE YOUR RESERVATION TO A FUTURE TOUR

  • FOR THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF ALL GUESTS, CHILDREN UNDER 10 YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT PERMITTED ON TOURS, EVEN IF THEY ARE IN STROLLERS OR HARNESSES. ALL CHILDREN, 10 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, MUST BE UNDER DIRECT ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES. NOISY CHILDREN MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY. ELECTRONIC GAMING DEVICES ARE ONLY PERMITTED IF IN SILENT MODE

Photographs may not be published in print or electronic form, without the written permission of Stahl House, Inc. No medium or large format cameras permitted. No video permitted. No drones, tripods, camera mounts, or selfie sticks permitted. No photographs may be taken of any photos or copyrighted works on the property** ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
